The much loved M8 from HTC’s One range has been ‘supped-up’ and released as the new HTC One M8S which is now available in a gunmetal grey colour scheme on both EE and Vodafone contract deals in the UK.
The M8S offers many of the same great features and a very similar styling to the HTC One M8 but boosts processing speeds with an upgraded octa-core 64-bit chip set-up, improves the cameras with a 28mm lens on the main 13 mega pixel rear shooter, increases battery life and comes pre-installed with the latest Android Lollipop operating system.
Cheapest Contract Offers
There are now both Vodafone and EE 4G deals available for the gunmetal grey HTC One M8S with contract prices starting from £14.99 a month and the current cheapest tariff to include a free One M8s is priced at £22 line rental.
This £22 tariff is offered on Vodafone and includes 500 minutes of calls and 500MB of data to use every month, if you need more then 1000 minutes of calls and 1GB of data is available at £25 a month.
The M8S Lowdown
Why settle for One M8 when you can have M8s? The feeling of the previous flagship for less…
The HTC One M8s, like it’s older brother flagship of 2014 has an anodised aluminium uni-body chassis with a curved back. A beautiful design, possibly the best aspect of which is the stereo speakers; these are laser cut above and below the screen in typical HTC One fashion.
The HTC One M8S runs Android’s latest version 5.0 Lollipop with HTC’s customer user interface Sense 7.0 on top of it.
The 4MP camera, with ultra-pixel technology has been replaced, like the HTC One M9, with a 13MP camera with some tasty features. A 5MP ‘Selfie Cam’ now sits on the front of the device.
The M8S has a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 processor meaning zero lag or freezing.
Unlike its predecessor, the battery has been improved to a Non-removable Li-Po 2840 mAh battery. Put simply, this means that you can use as many apps as you want and still have enough juice to last you over 24 hours.
