LG G4 Deals & Prices
At point of release, LG G4 prices are set slightly less expensive than its main rival, the Samsung Galaxy S6, contract deals offering a free G4 phone (with no upfront cost) will cost between £30 and £34 a month across multiple networks.
Away from contracts and pay as you go, LG’s new flagship sells as a SIM free phone, unlocked to all providers for £599.99 for the metallic grey, white and gold models whilst the hand stitched leather LG G4 is priced slightly more expensive at £629.99 for the black, red and brown leather editions.
Plastic just doesn’t cut it in a competitive mobile market these days which is why LG have gone with a high-quality hand-produced stitched leather back to cement that high end feel.
If that’s not to your taste then the plastic (metallic grey, gold and white) editions sport a diamond pattern as an extra design feature.
The there’s the innovative arched design similar to what we have seen on the LG G Flex 2 (although not as curved) but nowhere near as inclined so as to be hardly noticeable.
Featuring a 5.5 inch QHD display, the LG G4 boasts “a quantum jump in colour gamut and brightness”. The quad-HD touch screen is ultra-sharp with a 2650 x 1440 pixel resolution, put simply, this means that multimedia looks epic!
Although the same size as the previous LG G3, the G4 is not just another reincarnation, the IPS quantum display is the first of its kind, an impressive 25 percent brighter than previous QHD screens.
LG have been far more focused on their cameras of late, so it’s no surprise that the phone features an awesome back snapper.
Featuring a 16 mega pixel lens, a serious upgrade to the 13MP of the G3 which is boosted by an aperture of f/1.8 which is ideal for low-light photography and blur free capture.
Following the trend for high-end front facing ‘selfie’ cameras, the LG G4 packs an 8 mega pixel sensor with improved ‘Gesture Shot’ capture function for high quality, easy ‘selfie’ snapping!
Packing an optimised Snapdragon 808 processor along with 3GB of RAM, the G4 makes short work of gaming, browsing and multi-tasking, also on-board is the latest Android Lollipop 5.2 operating software with the LG UX 4.0 user interface running over the top.
Within the UI is a brand new function called LG Bulletin which dedicates an entire homepage for all of your widgets.
