The new LG G4c has been launched alongside the flagship G4 and is now available in a shiny gold colour scheme.
Joining the metallic gray and ceramic white versions of this more affordable alternative to the larger G4 (also available in gold), the shiny gold G4c offers a very similar ‘arced’ design along with many of the same features for a smaller price tag.
Cost of the gold G4c
There are now EE 4G price plans, O2 tariffs, Vodafone pay monthly deals and contracts on the new iD network from the Carphone Warehouse available for the gold LG G4c with line rental prices starting from £11.50 a month.
If your in the habit of not paying anything upfront for your new phone, you can pick up a free LG G4c Gold from £15.50 a month which provides 300 minutes of calls and 500MB of monthly data to use.
If you need more than this then 2GB of data and 600 minutes are available at £19.50 a month, 4GB and unlimited calls at £29.99 and 6GB at £31 a month.
If you don’t want to ‘port’ your number to another network to take advantage of these deals, there are also a large range of upgrade deals for the LG G4c Shiny Gold on Vodafone, EE and O2.
Big on features
With almost every smartphone release from a major manufacturer, we see a ‘family’ of devices that appear around it with the same branding, some called ‘mini’ and other ‘light’.
In the case of the powerful and popular LG G4, the trend is realised by the new G4c, a smaller and more affordable version aimed at the mid range user who may not require all the power and features of the flagship phone.
Designed with a more compact form factor and 5.0 inch 294 ppi screen, the G4c still has many of the features that allow LG smartphones to stand apart.
With LG’s unique rear button placement for power, volume and camera, the G4c feels just right whether you’re left or right handed. Lightweight at only 136 grams, the G4c can be easily easily dropped into any pocket or bag.
The G4c’s camera has been reduced to a still admirable 8MP, with software features to rival other low-to-mid range smartphones including the quick and useful Gesture Shot.
There’s also an excellent 5MP selfie camera for taking snaps and uploading to your favourite social media channels.
The 5.0 inch screen offers a large display for browsing, watching videos and playing games at a crisp 720p HD resolution. With all of the hardware buttons (volume, power and camera) moved to the back, LG can provide a large screen without impacting on the size.
A removable back cover hides the relaceable 2,540 mAh battery and microSD card slot – capable of using cards up to 64GB – which can hold thousands of songs and pictures.
Ensuring it is up to date with modern technologies, the G4c is fully certified for high speed LTE data networks in the UK and Europe and global 3G, alongside a suite of connectivity and communication options including WiFi, NFC and GPS.
